Just What the World Needs

Okay, so the last thing anyone needs is another person adding his/her voice to the white noise that is blogging. Plus, the fact that I've given this thing a go before and treated it with such reckless abandonment that it's still floating out there somewhere because I can't recall my passwords.

But this feels different. Maybe it's the newness of the year, or the inspiration of people I know who blog successfully, or that voice in every actor/musician/performer that screams for attention.

Whatever the reason(s) I'm jumping back in. I can't guarantee any ground breaking insight into life. Though I may rant at times they will be limited in subject because of who I am, and as the great philosopher Forrest Gump said, "That's all I have to say about that."

And what's with the title you ask? Well, I live in the Atlanta area and one of my favorite eating establishments is a place called the Three Dollar Cafe. It's not a fancy place and though very good, it's not even the best food I've had in town. Nonetheless, I love it and will go at every opportunity. Especially the one in Roswell to see the dear owners and to gather every other Wednesday evening with a group of close friends to share a meal, conversation and the desire to stay connected through life's changes.

Staring at my computer screen last night I suddenly felt the weight of coming up with a name for this little blog, the finality of the title given to it and the thought of regretting it in the near future. I've know regret, I saw Cloverfield. So, after much anguish I decided to let this locale where I share my thoughts on things be an homage to my Three Dollar friends. I hope this exchange it just as sweet.

And if you're ever in ATL go to a $3 Cafe and get the Bleu Cheese Chips and wings, you won't be disappointed.
